Creative thinking skills are one of the 21st century competencies that students need to have to produce original ideas, explore alternative solutions, and adapt to increasingly complex global challenges. This article presents the results of a needs analysis (defined stage) in the development of renewable energy E-LKPD integrated with Problem Based Learning (PBL) models and Canva AI-assisted local wisdom. The needs analysis was carried out through five steps, namely end-to-end analysis, student analysis, task analysis, concept analysis, and formulation of learning objectives, involving 35 students of class X Phase E and 3 physics teachers of SMAN 15 Padang. The results of the study showed that the average initial test score of students' creative thinking skills was only 34.29% (very low category), the teaching materials used were still in the form of simple printed LKPD that had not fully integrated local wisdom and PBL syntax, and there was a gap between the demands of the Independent Curriculum and learning conditions in the field. On the other hand, the needs questionnaire shows that the response of students to the development of E-LKPD is very high (average above 81%). These findings confirm the need to develop E-LKPD renewable energy integrated with PBL and local wisdom assisted by Canva AI as a contextual teaching material solution that is able to facilitate students' creative thinking skills.
